i have edited my bios and made xbmc my main dashboard and i cannot seem to get the thing set up the way it should be. when i select games, the window is empty. the same thing goes for emulators, programs, etc. the .xml file seems simple enough, and it points to f:\games, f:\apps, and f:\emulators by default. and yet they still don't show up. i have to dig through the file explorere just to play games. can someone advise me on what to do? thanks.my home folder is e:\apps\xbmc. that is where the xbe and xml are.how have you set this up, is it using hte tag so that your xbmc xbe file and xml file are in the root of c:?
i've not tried that method, i've used the xbe shortcut maker to make a shortcut to e:\apps\xbmc\default.xbe
this way i don't need to change any of the xml stuff.
maybe not much help, but it works for me.
other than that, all i can think of is that it's not using the correct xml file, or not finding the one you've set up.
i think if you've got the xbmc xbe file in c:\ then the xml file needs to be there aswell.how did you set up a shortcut to /apps/xbmc/default.xml? i've tried setting up xbmc as my default dash instead of evox but i couldn't get it to work.
