Ankieta na temat streetfashion

  • I'm writing a ma thesis about Polish view on Japan and Japanese view on Poland. I know there is a bit of Polish users on this forum, so I'd like to ask them few questions. This questionaire is for Polish only, that's why all the questions are in Polish. I hope nobody will feel offended because of this.
If somebody was interested what Polish think about streetfashion I will summarise it after I finish. :)

  • And no, I can't translate it into English. I am writing thesis about how Polish see Japan (and Japanese Poland) so all my questions are to Polish only. I know, I'll be getting a small amount of answers (if any) but I'm curious if Polish on an international forum see streetfashion in a different way than the others. :D Yeah... :D

If the mods/admin will say it is not allowed to write posts in languages other than english, I'll delete it.I think the precedance is clearly a mixture of English, with Japanese in some small use as well... I don't know what goes on in the European boards...

You are asking about a very very specific view of what Polish people feel concerning what they perceive to be Japanese street fashion... I havent met a single non-Japanese person, or at least a person living in or familiar with Asia who could acurately describe the complex dynamic of fashion in Japan, and how it relates to economic status, age, etc...

There are plenty of styles (comming and going) that anyone, including Poles, could find completely absurd--- they're worn by highschoolers aged around 14-18... younger sometimes... I'm just wondering what your goal is... As far as Poland godes, I really don't think that Japan, or specifically, Japanese youth think about it at all...

But how many people think, "I wonder what country X thinks of me?"...

  • I've put the questionire on other polish sites. This isn't the only forum, I have another answers.

I don't want/need a Polsih subforum here. I have explained why I put a text in another language. And I don't remember where in the rules it is written that I have to write only in english...

Kinsao, I was thinking about it, but I've decided that Polish rather comes here because they are interested in Japan, and like me, they do not visit European section.

  • Hmmm. I agree that you'd be more likely to get more respondents maybe if you posted your question in the 'Europe' section of the forum where you might find more Polish-speaking users. My impression is that there isn't very many Polish-speaking users at this forum, so you might be better to try a forum where Polish is the main language.

I'm not sure what designated forums there are for other languages (except for the Japanese language sections of course)... :?

Personally I have no problem with people posting in other languages on this board, it just means that they limit their chances of responses to other people who can understand that language. I think most people choose to post in English because more people here can understand it.

Could you not have your discussion/responses in English and then translate them into Polish yourself? I realise this is a lot of work for you, but you'd get more answers to your questions. :relief:

  • There's German, French, and -- uh oh, I can't see the little flags up there now -- and at least one other language I can't recall, besides English.

    .

  • Excuse me, but there are designated forums for specific language groups, but I was under the impression that if it isn't a special forum the language is English.

I'd say that if you wish for a designated forum for those from or studying Poland you should ask the admin for such a special forum.

I think once the door is opened that allows anyone to post anywhere on the board in whatever language they choose there could be quite some confusion, and possibly some forumers/forumites that feel slighted.

    Any thoughts on this?
